That’s a notion I can get behind. Platonic love, Familial love, Romantic love - enduring and timeless love that spans the physical and spiritual realm.

Three planters went out yesterday:
2 to celebrate a life now continued in the spiritual world and
1 to celebrate the day a beautiful spirit was born to her earthly body.

I treasure being part of these life moments. I treasure handcrafting planters to honor those who are near and dear to you.

I have quite a number of things in bloom in the cutting gardens around my house, but you know what?!?!

Sometimes it’s snipping a few blooms from my roadside ditch that brings me the most joy 🤭

It’s all about perspective. Right?

This is a simple bud vase of #RedClover I snipped while weeding a fence line.

I’ve been experimenting with wood finishes a lot

I’ve been experimenting with wood finishes a lot lately. Just trying to learn new techniques and share what I love with you.

This is one for the ‘LOVE’ column 💗

This guy takes a little extra love to bring to life, but I think he’s more than worth it.
—
Each wood planter is hand-distressed, hand-sanded and flame finished. I add a silky smooth coat of Tung Oil while the wood is still too hot to touch. Once the Tung Oil dries, I hand polish it for that final buttery luster.

Bless my heart, I think this is one of my new favorite wood finishes 🤭

I’m calling this the Bourbon Collection. Each planter will be bold and unique, but all will have a rich tone and texture.
—
I kept the plant options super neutral and balanced the moss accents to get a nice mix of texture and color.
—
